Amsterdam, the Venice of the North
If you are looking for a great destination in Europe to visit, Amsterdam usually tops many people's lists. Amsterdam is considered the Venice of the north because it has wonderful canals and waterways. Amsterdam is the largest city in the Netherlands and offers so much culture, architecture and sites to see. If you are planning on visiting Amsterdam, here are some suggestions.
Amsterdam is a wildly visited city. There is so much to see in Amsterdam including museums, the old city, great canals and attraction such as the Heineken interactive Brewery. No matter what you're looking for in a European vacation, you will find it in Amsterdam.
Many people love to visit the Van Gough Museum. Van Gough is one of the Netherlands most famous painters. Amsterdam is very famous for its artwork due to the fact that the city was once the richest in the 1600's due to their ports and sea trade.
You can find plenty to do and see in the old section of Amsterdam. There are plenty of canals throughout the quarter and many people love to take a sight seeing tours on small ferry boats that ride throughout town. So if you are looking for a great place to visit, choose Amsterdam.
